I have a 94 yj and the write-up referenced was 100% correct. The LED lights make a phenomenal difference.
The speedometer and tachometer have two 194 bulbs each. When you pull the speedometer/tachometer unit out and look at the back, you will see 4 gray twist connectors screwed into the back of the speedometer and the tachometer. I purchased 4 WLED-x5 bulbs for this. Twist and carefully pull them out. Pull the old bulbs out of the gray connectors and push the new LED bulbs in. Carefully reinsert and twist.
The same size bulbs (WLED-x5) are used for instrument cluster. I used two bulbs for this; one for the battery and oil guages, one for the fuel and temperature guages. I purchased one WLED-xHP5 bulb for the 4wd light.
I purchased 7 smaller 78 bulbs (white) for the indicator lights between the speedometer and tachometer. These were for:
Left Turn Signal
Right Turn Signal
These use a smaller connector that twists into the instrument cluster. These may be black instead of gray.
Be careful when you work with your speedometer / tachometer unit. These use printed circuits that are on something similar to mylar plastic sheets that will likely be brittle. If you punch through the layers, you could short things out and cause nasty things to happen.
Only remove one connector at a time, replace the bulb, then replace the connector. This may help keep the mylar sheets properly aligned.
Next mod - I am going to replace the accelerator cable to see if I can increase my power and acceleration!
