LED Tailight Conversion Help needed

94 YJ, hooking up a set of flushmount trailer lights. I know the wires from the jeep .....white/black wire is for back-up lights....the black I would assume is ground and the green/black is the brake/running light...Am I right?

Also the taillights I have, the three wires are white, black, green.

When I hook the light up I have no Brake light, It looks as though it's so bright it's as if the brake is applied, but when i press the brake I get nothing.

When I use the turn signal, it barely flashes....so I know/think the flasher gets replaced (which I have found on here)

Any idea what I'm hooking up wrong? I can't figure it out, why I have no brake when I press the pedal.

You have a backup wire, a tail wire, and a brake/turn wire(both same wire).

I did mine, but off the top of my head I don't remember the colors. Do you have a tester you can check wire function with?

if you only have 3 wires your old lights grounded through the screws to the tub. You may need to create a new ground wire.
