lengthening drive shaft vs. slip yoke

91 yj 4.0 5 spd
I recently blew out the front u joint in my drive shaft and replaced it. As i was doing this i found out that my yoke was bent so i went and bought another one and put it in. the yoke that i bought was a little longer than the stock yoke, but the guy at levines said that it wasnt really that bad. when i put in the driveshaft i noticed that because of my stock driveshaft length the yoke sticks out way too far. im thinking of getting a cherokee driveshaft and having it made to size, but i am wondering if that wont work and i may have to get a slip yoke eliminator kit. when i slow down i can really feel the drive shaft not sitting well under the car. would the angles be too great if i did not get the slip and just changed the shaft or make it worse? any help would be awesome
