Let's Identify a Transmission!

So! Good times...the PO told me about 46.5 times while I was buying my Jeep that he had swapped out the stock automatic transmission for a Chevy 350 automatic transmission.

I'm a pint low on fluid right now...and set off to go get some more from my lovely local Kmart. Well...GM and Jeep take different kinds, and being that the PO was not totally honest about a few things on my Jeep...I decided it's time to verify what the heck I actually have running this rust bucket.

I have a 1993 with a huge piece of armor in the way, so excuse the poor pics. Let me know what you think!

You have the stock transmission for your Jeep.

If you can read the tag on the transfer case it will tell you what jeep transfer case you have

the first pic was the tcase, the second had a piece of the t case, the tihir is all transmission.

Im starting to think the OP misunderstood the PO , transmission for transfer case...
and he got a NP 231C in place of his NP231J (the chevy version has the wider chain).

The po definitely was referring to the transmission, he said he swapped out the stock tranny with a chevy 350 tranny. Like I said there's armor in the way so it was difficult to get a good pic and I posted three to get some context.
