I'm assuming he meant a spring swap, since he mentions leaves in his post. Actually, lifting a YJ with leaf springs is one of the easiest ways to lift a Jeep. If all you want is a 2" lift, and you don't care about the ride quality, check out an "Add A Leaf" lift. Most of them will garner a 2" lift and don't require any other mod to the chassis......something to think about. If you want something that gives a better ride quality, check out Old Man Emu leaf spring lifts. Combined with their shocks, it'll ride better than stock while getting you up in the air a little higher.

umm....i'm not really sure what kind of a lift i want. i talked to a guy at checkers and he was saying something about spacers that you just put in between the leafs. i just want the lift so that i sit higher up, i also want to do a little off-roading, but not too much. and i think i have 14" wheels, but i think i might want to get 18" but i'm not sure yet.

If all you want to do is sit higher there are many options. You can add shackles which are two inches longer and will give you one inch of lift and then do a body lift (putting spacers between the frame and tub of the jeep) for another inch. That way you don't screw up the angles in your driveline and can keep your present tires. It won't affect your performance in any major way and will get the "look" you want.
