Lifting my 95 Wrangler Sahara

I've been lookin at different lifts, rims, and tires. I want to put 35 inch tires on it and my friend has Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ Radial tires and I love them. I also can't decide between 16 or 17 inch rims. Last thing is I'm not exactly sure what size lift I would need for 35's. I'm thinkin around a 4 inch lift. If anyone could help me with this stuff thatd be much appreciated.

I have a 4" suspension lift and a 2" body lift and 35's Mikey Thompson Baja MTZ's fits perfectly - lots of clearance!

I was thinkin about a 4" suspension lift with 1" body or somethin, also don't know what brand is good.

I have a 4" suspension and 2" body on 33X12. Same color as yours!!!

I would also consider a rear axle upgrade with the 35's. Look into a ford 8.8 swap. I run 33's with 4". so small body lift and perhaps a short shackle lift and you should be good with 35's.

Nice ride, love the color, lol. I have a 4" suspension lift, no body lift. Running 32x11.5x17. Thought about bigger, but this is my DD and has enough clearance to still go most places that I trail, yet I am still getting just shy of 20mpg with the stock 4.0 5spd and dana 35 factory gears

Give ya more pictures. I vote SOA.

Here is 4.5" Suspension with 1" Body, 35x12.5 tires. Rubbed pretty good and rubbed on tight turning.


Now have SOA, 2" BDS Springs, 1" Body with same tires.

I'm confused with this SOA, SOA means spring over axel right? I have no clue what I need to buy P.S. I'm not putting the lift on by myself thank goodness, my friend which knows about this stuff is and I'm there to help and learn.

Btw a SOA will gain 5.5 inches. First you need to know how to weld first off cause you will need to cut off the old leave pearches and weld on new ones. Second I would suggest the tera flex high steer knuckle its $400 but well work the money that way you can custom build your own cross over steering. Or Tera sells the complete kit for just over $600. You can use your stock springs but i suggest you look at rubicon express 1.5in springs there dessighed for a SOA lift. Other then a ss sye and cv shaft thats it. When i did my SOA im into it for about 1800$ thats with steering, drive line, ss sye and new front springs. I used stock YJ springs with a 2+ shackle and a pair of +2in springs in the back with stock shackle.

Its what i would suggest. If your looking for a bolt on SOA kit check out Spring over axle lift for Jeep Wrangler, SOA not too keen on what they did with the stock perches but if ur not up to fabrication it looks like a soild kit. just need an ss sye or do a tcase drop and hope for the best.

SOA is probably your best bet. Should have plenty of flex and stock ride on the road.

So could I just buy a 4" suspension lift, rims, tires, maybe some quick disconnect sway bars, think I need extended brake lines too (i looked at them and it probably wont reach), and I'm all set?

SOA with stock is at least 5.5 inch lift from where you are at now. If your suspension has a little sag from age it may be a little more. Another 4 inch suspension lift should get close to 10. You will have to get a high steer system extended shocks and replace the drive shafts. I like Rough Country but that's just me. Good warranty and quick turn around. They have a dull line of parts so you can call them and tell them what you are doing and they will tell you exactly what you need to be safe. Good luck

Actually I dont know, I want to do SOA but I dont really want to go over 6".

My last resort is going with the Rocky Road 6.5" Bolt-on SOA even though I don't really want that much of a lift I guess I can live with it. By the way, is that still safe on the road?

Do SOA for the 5.5 and just replace the springs and shocks with OEM. Will keep you under 6" but with new suspension parts.

Not a fan of the bolt on though, I'd find a shop nearby to just do the welding for you

I'm also not a fan of bolt ons but if you can't weld then go with the rocky road soa kit. Your other options are 6in sua lift I believe skyjacker has one. Or a 4in sua lift with a 1 or 2 in body lift or fender hacking. That's your options if you want to clear 35's
