Lighting, interior lighting, please help.

I have a 1990 YJ and i wanted to change the dash lighting. ive seen examples posted on WF, but i wanted to know the number of the bulb used for the dash lights.

I want to order them online, so i dont want to tear the dashboard apart and leave it like that for a week or two untill i get it, thats why i want to order it first, before taking it apart.

All i need it the number of the bulb used for the dash board gauges. Thanks ALL!

I did the same thing you're looking to do about a month ago. Best 10 bucks I ever spent. Reason it was 10 is i bought three extra bulbs just in case I had extras that others didn't have. If your dash is like mine you will only need 7 single LED wedge base bulbs #194. I ordered mine from Super Bright LEDs. Everyone sings their praises and I have joined the choir. Fast shipping, awesome product, and installation takes no more than 10 minutes. Took me longer because my gauges were caked with 17 years of dust.

Thanks! i appreciate it, and since you did the same thing to yours, which bulb did you choose? how many LED wedges im thinking about going with the smallest one the (WLED-x 1 Wide Angle LED, 90 or 120 degree beam), or do you think i should just go brighter, just to be on the safe side?

i went with the WLED x 1 with the 120 degree beam. If you want it a little brighter get the 90 degree beam to concentrate the light a little more but with the 120 I can see the gauges better than the stock bulbs. If you go more than 2 or 3 leds then your dash would be so bright it might make it harder to see the gauges. And it could get irritating when you drive if they're too bright especially with a blue, yellow or red beam since my stereo has a blue led and as bright as it is I can't stand to drive with it on.

I would get you a picture of them but I just put my Jeep in the shop for inspection, brakes and a fluid checkup. I'll try to get a good one for you tomorrow when I get her back after work. And when you take your dash apart (Idk if you've read up and seen this) but remove the dash pieces but once you remove those do not take off your gauge faces (the clear plastic pieces) unless you want to clean the plastic then you can take em off with about three or four screws each. However don't touch the gauge faces or the needles cuz you could throw the accuracy of the gauges. There are screws around the edges of the gauge clusters on the metal part of the dash that will loose the entire gauge cluster from the dash so you can get behind it to replace the bulbs.
