well, from the pic, i can see that it has extended shackles, bigger tires, aftermarket wheels that somebody used aluminum acid on, cause they are looking white, and should be a polished mirror finish(i have the same wheels on my YJ).
I would check the frame close, look at the rear of the frame up inside next to the shackles, in the top mounts for the rear shocks, along the frame where the skid plate bolts, and around the steering box, those are the most common places for frame problems.
As far as "death wobble", swaying back and forth going down the road isnt even close to death wobble. You almost have to experience it to know what it is or the signs of it. Its when your front tires kick side to side while going down the road, and you have no control over it.
I would check the oil and water, make sure everything looks clean.
So is death wobble an easy fix as far as replace the components that are worn?
Ok so its nothing like what my 80 powerwagon used to do to me... it would pull both directions left then right it was just a matter of playing in the steerings dead zone to balance it out until I fix it with poly bushings and crossover steering.
:edit: I am a at home diy. I will replace the parts myself but will always take things in for alignment.

It would be rare, not impossible, for a YJ to have death wobble due to the leaf springs. DW on a YJ would to me not even be on my list of concerns. As stated check the frame for rust/rot not just by looking but hit the frame with a small hammer etc.. see if its soft. Check floor boards, pull up the carpet. Make sure 4wd works.. how much is this jeep?

I was about to basically type up the same reply as 4Jeepn did until I saw the reply. Good advise there. Mainly check the frame & for rust (as said previously) I have a lifted 94 YJ & the only thing that has ever caused me "wobble" is unbalanced or crappy tires & a broke trac bar mount, then I just removed the trac bar & no issues after that as far as wobble is concerned.
How much are they asking for the Jeep? Looks sharp

imo it looks to be in great shape and if mechanically it looks to be as clean as it is cosmetically, negotiate the best price. having recently bought my first jeep i found out how much they keep their value. but a 4 banger for occasional highway driving is plenty fine so dont feel like you have to get the 4.0...i had the same questions as you did and am slowly learning. kbb what the book value is on the jeep in your area and try to do a carfax on it. in jersey, i can tell you they sure demand some money. of course make sure its in good shape with no structural rust or weird engine noises, idle issues, etc. a good honest conversation with the owner and asking how they respond to maintence questions can tell you how they did or did not take care of the car. interrogate!!!
That is my Jeep less the hard top. I bought it in December with 123K on the clock for $3200 and everything worked as it should. Since then everything is breaking as expected. I have close to $2K in a lift kit, bumpers, winch and replacing everything electric or hydraulic on the thing. Get it as cheap as you can because you will be replacing parts.Its a 20 year old vehicle. If there is any frame rust or rot I would not walk but run away.
