Loose Steering

I had just tightened up the steering by adjusting the screw on the steering box and i was just wondering how can you tell if you went to far with it? it seem's like it's alot better now took it out for about 5mile drive hardly no play in it now, i went clockwise in about 1 turn. Thanks for any response.

If you go to far it will bind.

AS long as you can turn the wheel lock to lock with no binding and it returns to neutral position after a turn to left and right you should be OK>

The transfer case uses Synthetic ATF, I forget which number. The manual trans...well that's all over the place, some use 10-30 motor oil, to Royal Purple, Red Line, Lucas
I use the purple stuff, synthetic and according to the label, does not contain anything corrosive......regular 75-90 gear oil may contain corrosives.....they will damage your synchros.
