Lower ball joint

Hey all,
My driver side lower ball joint is squeaking pretty bad right now and I have a couple questions. First off, I would like to just grease it, but it appears there is no fitting on it. Does anyone know of a way to grease it or must it be replaced? If I have to replace how hard of a job is it to do myself and does anyone know where I can find some instructions on it? My hayes suggests taking it to a shop and has nothing on it and I didnt see a whole lot on here about it. Thanks.

its not to hard with the right tools, i am fortunate a friend of mine owns a garage and towing business and has the whole set for jeep ball joints but go to some where like autozone that rents tools rent the ball joint press and they have that znet there that should have instructions.

i think the way i did mine was take off the caliper and rotor pop out the whole hub assembly with axle shaft, then have the jeep up highenough you can get the press in there. i thnk that is what i did last time.

I figured it wouldnt be too bad so I guess I'll take a stab at it. There is no way to grease that lower though, correct? It's an '89 if that affects the answer at all.

You can drill a hole and put in a grease zert, but, if it's sqeaking, it's toast any way. All greasing will do is put off the replacement till winter.
