manual to automatic swap

hello, i have a 87 I6 standard transmission, i was wondering how hard would it be to swap it over to an automatic? i know the old yjs were on the tree, but would putting in one from lets say a tj, where its on the floor board work? what else would i have to add or replace? thoughts?

I have experience in doing manual conversions in 240s mostly but you would need a automatic trans (obviously) a ecu for an auto trans a torque converter lower end wiring harness for an auto and maybe some other things

I've never done it on a Jeep, or newer vehicle, but I did a swap on an old Chevy. Along with what has already mentioned I believe you would need to run cooling lines from the transmission to a transmission cooler that would have to be attached to your radiator, or possibly do a radiator swap that has the cooler built in.

guys I think he's talkin about the shifter, which I don't think would be a problem, and if he is using the older 904 it doesn't require a computer.
