mc2150 fuel press?? help?!?!

Hey guys!! I have a 90 yj with 258. I have a mc2150 swap, GM dizzy and header. I put a electric fuel pump on it with 30 gal free flow and 5.5 to 9 psi. It runs great! Except at 60 mph on a pull the fuel pump cant keep up and it starves for fuel. The 2150 im guessing prob has the 1.21 venturi and the bigger jets, i would like the 1.08 and #47 jets but where can i get them?? Or do I need a bigger fuel pump?? please give me guidence...

how is your fuel lines run? you shouldn't be running out of fuel with a two barrel on a jeep motor.

are you running the holley fuel pump? a weber on mine (right now) and an electric holley and i have zero feed problems. i only need an air filter and i can put one of my motorcraft carbs on. i have a 1.01, a 1.14, and a 1.21. the only jet i can read on the 1.21 is a 54 and i cannot read the sizes on the other carbs.

The pump is a airtek i think. 60 bucks.
Its at the rear close to the tank and lower than the tank. Then goes up the frame to filter. Then two lines outta filter, one to carb, one to return line. They are on correct, i cked that. Im guessin a crappy fuel pump????

get the holley pump or try taking your return line off for now. i have no return line run on my jeep, only the line to the filter/ carb

Just curious why did you decide to goto an electric fuel pump? I have the 258 with mc2150 and just stock rest (planning an HEI or TFI soon) and I only had problems cause my motor was tired and needed rebuilding. It's in the shop now. It needed bored .060 over anyway just curious let us know if the pump was the problem

Yeah mines from 87 and I've never had a problem with the mechanical pump, and I don't see a distributor upgrade necessitating an electric pump lol. I met a guy that has an LT1 motor he said he'd sell me from a Camaro. That would need an electric fuel pump lol.
