Mirror reolcation brackets

Is there a mirror relocation bracket that does not require removal of the windshield hinge bolts. They are stuck in place and the star threads strop. The bottom bolts have nuts on the back that are buried in undercoating. I am having trouble getting the dash off to get full access. I swear I did not think my biggest problem on a 91 YJ would be undoing bolts

I found one that mounts to the sides, I can get three bolts out but one stripped. I cant use that bracket either. I have never been so frustrated. Every simple add on or repair is made nearly impossible by bad engineering. All I want to do Is take the doors off. Impossible because they use star bolts. Also pretty stupid to design a removable door with a non moveable mirror.

Drill them POS torx bolts out and put in some new bolts/nuts.. It's tough, but you can get a wrench up in the dash without removing it. The driver side is a little tighter since you have the ebrake and whatnot, so if you pull out your speedo/tach cluster you can access it a little better. With changing to normal bolts/nuts, it's a lot easier for future work in case you need to remove the windshield or whatever. Hope this helps.

Edit: Your main concern is going to be the driver side because the pass side will become 98% useless once it's moved up and forward..

Out of frustration I put it all back together. When I get some time I will probably try and drill the heads off and punch the bolts through the dash. Then I can re bolt with hex bolts. What a pain.

I just replaced my hinges the other day. Had to drill 6 of 8 bolts out to get it done. Wasn't too bad...
