Missing & back-firing through throttle body

My Daughter's '95 2.5l 5-spd just started missing and backfiring, like when the fuel pump went out. I picked it up to drive it home and it ran like crap, until about a mile from home when I turned off the main road and it ran perfectly the rest of the way. I have literally replaced all exterior engine sensors, wires, ignition items and fuel pump over the past year.

All I can think of that hasn't been replaced is the exhaust system, fuel injectors and ECM. I also cleaned the tank when I was in there.

Any ideas? I'm at a loss!

lol sounds like it wants to play...
could be a bad injector..check the connectors that run to them and make sure you dont have a loose one...

Bad Fuel Injector is what I'm thinking too. Since it's running OK again, I can't really diagnose which one is bad. All the connections are tight, so I think I'm just going to do the Ford 19LB Fuel Injector conversion and see what happens.
