Missing Backfiring and More Fun!

I hope I have this figured-out. Our '95 2.5 L starts and idles just fine. But backfires and has No Power under acceleration. I just tested pressure at the Fuel Rail and it is 18 PSI. I'm going to drop the tank and install a new pump and see what happens.

Make sure to change the fuel filter first to see if it's that, a whole lot easier and cheaper plus if you haven't done it yet it needs done anyway.

It already has a new filter and Fuel Pressure Regulator. After dropping the tank I noticed 2-vents on top of the tank with no hoses on them. What's up with that?

The tank vents usually go to the evap acnnister up front and pass the vapors to the throttle body to be burnt with everything else.

I found the hoses. I stalled the new pump and 20-gal sending unit and it runs Awesome! Like, I can't believe how well it runs. Problem solved!
