Are moog tie rod ends really worth triple the cost? $65 instead of about $20 like all the rest. I understand they are forged and heat treated, but does it make that big of as difference? It's not like I break these, I just replace them when they get worn out and have play. Would cost me $260+ instead of $80 to use moog.

They just last a lot longer. Do the $20. have grease fittings, most Moog do?

Yeah the ones I got have zerk fittings and a lifetime warranty. I will check rock auto. Besides being forced the grease seals seam much better quality on the moog, is the price that makes me wonder wtf!

I used a different brand on my YJ, from Rockauto, dont remember the brand, but they have grease fittings.
If I wheeled hard, or had a V8, or larger than 33" tires, I would probably upgrade the parts.

On the other hand, my 8000lb F250 got all Moog or OEM Motorcraft parts when I refit the suspension. Truck rides on 35's, 476hp, 812tq, tows up to 15k regularly.

For comparison, a daily driven, 150hp, 3000lb Jeep probably doesnt need heavy duty parts.

See where Im goin with this?

I'd say they're worth it. I ended up going with Moog on my old heavy Chevy 2500 that had 9" of lift and 36"s. They lasted way longer than any other.

I just bought Moog ends to do an 1 ton steering upgrade on the tie rod and the drag link. The total for all four was $140 at RockAuto.
