Mopar MPI V Howell?

I have a 89 4.2L with the original Carter carb on it. I rebuilt the Carter and it didn't do much to help with the rough idle and sketchy power issues. I know now that I don't want to mess with carbs anymore and need to get EFI. I looked around and see the Howell and Mopar but don't know what one to go with. The Mopar is about twice as much, but is it twice as nice? I was wondering if any other Jeepers out there have put one of these on there rig and what they have to say. So far it seems like nobody has had any issues with the Howell but not much on the Mopar. Plus all the threads are from 2009. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have the mopar fuel injection on my 87 4.2 ltr. It seems to work really well. I don't know much about the other kind. Mine seems to give me a little more power and it beats tunning carbs! The only thing I don't like is all the lines are helled togather with hose clamps. Seems like a cheep way to do it. Iv popped a line off before but other then that I really like it.

I have the Howell kit and love it. There was a noticable power increase, although I installed a Header and exhaust at the same time. I havent touched a thing since I installed it about 8 years ago.

This^^^

The Howell is a TBI and the Mopar is a MPI which is better but more work to do. You can get almost all the parts you need for a MPI off a junked 4.0 for a fraction of the price of a kit!

Both of you guys are right! Thoes kits are expensive and easy to fine and get parts for... also I forgot to mention that my system sucks gas like a pig! And I have to run 92 octane or higher

Thank you Gentlemen. I am going to go scrounge the local junk yard to see what I can dig up. Its hard to explain to the wife that I need to drop another 1200 on Jeep parts but hopefully I can scrounge up the parts.
