motor mount lift or radiator drop

hey guys, i just pulled my engine out for a rebuild. the PO installed a body lift and used the radiator drop kit to accommodate the fan / shroud. should i just stay with this or go on and install a MML instead? is there any benefit to one over the other?

MML
Browndog with rubber bushing (not poly) would be a good choice but there are plenty of others available.

ADVANTAGES - gets the sump another 1" away from the rocks and lets you do a tummytuck later on if you wish.

the only disadvantage I can think of is the PO may have had to modify/adjust the transfer case linkage or used a special bracket for it when doing the BL which will most likely need to be undone.

just the BL, for now at least. im going SOA next summer.

wesboy, i dont think there were any kind of brackets modified near the tcase or tranny, i had to replace all the mounts for those already and everything looked normal i think.

i just thought i'd heard somewhere before that the MML helps with some angles in the drive line or something like that, where as the rad drop does not. know of anything abt that?

yes it helps with driveline vibrations after a suspension lift, shouldnt have any vibs with only a body lift thought because the suspension is not changed at all..might as well put the mml lift on and wont after to worry about it when you do a suspension lift...just realized its a yj which might be different from a tj but im thinking its the same

If you don't have suspension lift you don't need a motor mount lift.
