motor swap

I have a 351 Windsor small block 350 HP i just rebuilt it 6 months ago for my truck i got ride of the truck and now i want to put it in my jeep 89 YJ 6 CYL
I have a 4" suspension lift and next month I'm putting in the 2" body lift I'm running 33" mudder's any suggestions on things i should be buying for this change over or any suggestion IE Bel housing for the tranny maybe some one Else has used a ford V-8 swap and using a eldabroke 4 Barrel carb

sorry it's a 5 speed x15 i think I know its not the peogio or what ever it's called
I had it in the tranny shop he says the syncrows need to be ajusted and said be thankful it's not a peogio it's a x-15 somthing

As far as I know you can not adjust the syncros you just replace them when they get worn. If you want to run the ax-15 here is a link http://www.discountjeepparts.com/pro...ducts_id/25864 I used this part to mate my cummins to my ax-15. I do not like my ax-15 and it's brand new. I would find a nv4500 if I had to do it again. That is totally your choice. Have a good one.

dump the AX-15, i dont know transmissions for a 351w but im putting a TH350 in mine,to bolt up to a chevy 350. the ax-15 will shred sooner if not later ( with any kind of wheeling)

well I was hoping to use the tranny in it till I could afford a good rock slided one
and thanks very much for the links these should come in handy
just put my 33"mudders back on today hopefully no more snow
can't wait to get 2" body lift in then start the V-8 massacre lol

I suggest a good C6 tranny from a junk yard. Most late 70s early 80s f250/350 had them. Pretty bullet proof for the money.

Remember, the Puegot BA-10 and the AX-15 both were in the 89 YJs. They swapped half way through the model year.
