Question motor swap what size is best& easy

I`ve got a `89 yj w/4 banger over 200,000 miles on it. It`s a daily driver and I love my ol jeep. The body is in good shape and I`d like to know from other jeepers what would be the best and easyest motor swap. Any info. is greatly appreciated.

Probably another 2.5 would be the easiest.

no it wont somthing with the computer system, but i have a 94 with the 2.5 and i wanted to put a cummins 4bt but it was really expensive so im rebuilding my 2.5 and having the head ported polished and rocker rollers put in it and forged rods and pistons, and turboing it for about 3500 bucks and it should make about 200 to 220hp to the rear wheels. Call zak at 505 performance they are awsome!

JDZ I have a 15 page document that tell you everything about every engine and box combination that will fit your YJ with part numbers for cases and everything, I am putting a V8 in mine this also tells you about how to connect the fuel injection computer (if you went that route) its not as hard as it sounds
let me know if you want it (pm Me ) i have it on the work computer and will email it to you, same to anyone else.
