Motorcraft 2150

So many of you guys use the 2150 and like it. Where do you get it? The parts stores want an original number and don't seem to know anything about an adapter plate to fit my '90 4.2 manifold. I checked with 4WD andthey want to sell me a Holly.

Got mine off an old ford van from the junkyard for $26. I wrote the year and model of the van down and got a rebuild kit for $20 at autozone. You want a 2100 or 2150 with 1.08 Venturis. Research them and know what to look for. I believe the Venturi size is on the front right of the carb. There's a guy on eBay that's sells them as well. Mr. Gasket sells the adapter plate.

Thanks for the quick response. I've read where many have picked up an old one and rebuilt it. Think I'll try that after looking for an adapter plate.

The 2100 is an Autolite carb, the 2150 is branded as Motorcraft. Two of the best 2bbl carbs ever built. My '71 Ford is still sporting it's original 2100 with one rebuild since 1971.

Looks like he does good work. I have a couple Autolite 4100's I might send his way for rebuilds.
