Talking My 1989 YJ Project

Well what's up everyone I have a 1989 Jeep wrangler YJ 2.5L stock i've been working on my project for about 3 months I got it for free from my dad he had it in the back just sitting there and the people told him that the it needed a new head gasket, transmission and transfer case so got that and since that i've needed new crank sensor, water pump, spark plugs and cables, battery, the whole clutch kit with everything, brake system, steering tie rod and ends, new dash and I think thats pretty much it but I will have some pics while the project goes.

And no I found it on Craigslist and bought it from a guy with the dash, a nice looking tailgate and half door insides for I think $200 if I remember right

I figure id update the thread since its been pouring rain for the last 2 hours! I was able to grind and cut a couple of areas that needed attention. Early on I thought I only had 2 spots but after tearing into it we found a few more. I'll post a few pics of what Iv'e done so far and later update this with the pics of all the metel patching. Hopefully it will stop raining soon so I can get back on it!

The rain down here really sucks. Every time I try to do anything it starts raining. Looks like you are going about it the right way. Keep up the good work.

yup, the 3pm down pours are no joke! Sunday was a beach day for me so no worky on the jeepy and of course the weather was awesome all day. Today was no different I got started and by 2 it started and didn't stop for 3 hrs
I was able to get some stuff done so it wasn't a total waste...cut some more areas behind the roll bar and 2 more pieces on the floor. After the rain got to do a little welding too. Here some pics of the cuts didn't get pic of the welding because it was dark already.

Amazing. I never get tired of seeing the transformation of something that was basically left to rot away get brought back and become a beautiful work of art. Please keep the pics coming.
