Hey ya'll, so I have a RallyTops hard top and hard door uppers for my 93 YJ...its a great top in all sorts of weather. The problem I have with it thou is that, its a one piece top...meaning its a pain in the butt to take off and on in spring/summer/fall...I'm looking for a good soft top for the summer time, but I don't want to keep putting on all the hardware and taking it all off every fall/winter...would the frame less ones work for my wants then? Any ideas please lemme know.

Bestop Supertop. It eliminates the annoying snaps on soft tops. I've heard it's easier to fold back as well. Only issue is, it's expensive and requires special doors.

No. You would still have to remove a bunch of bolts that attach the rails that hold the top on. The front windshield channel, too.

I agree that removing the hard top is a pain, but if taking a few bolts out every six months is too much for you, maybe a Subaru with a sunroof is what you're after.

couldn't have said it better myself.

I live in Michigan and run hard in the winter and switch to soft in summer, one day in summer it could be sunny and 85, the next it can be rainy and 65. In other words I get a lot of practice taking the top on and off but to me it's not a big deal at all. It's part of owning a jeep. As stated if all those pesky bolts are to much for yu then jeeps aren't for you.

If you live in a predominantly warm climate than yea possibly a bad weather cover is an option but even that still has all the metal rails that a soft top needs. Maybe a tarp with some milk jugs tied to the rings if laziness is the ultimate issue will be your answer!! GL.

Agreed. The thrill of cruising on cool summer nights with the top off is made sweeter by the pain in the ass that is soft and hard tops. If you run topless in the warm seasons and hard top in the winter, I'd recommend one of the emergency covers. That way you can quickly get a cheap top up if you get rain.

In my opinion, taking the hard top off once a year and putting it on once a year is nothing. It would be well worth the effort. Soft tops have so many issues with the damn zippers and bad seals.

well thanks ya'll, i guess what i was looking for was a soft top which doesn't use the rails and such...i didn't know of any haha...i also have hard round door uppers, so if anyone knows of a good soft top to work with those that would also be fantastic!
