Hi everyone, my names Mike, I have a 1989 YJ, and im in the process of converting a 89 YJ W/ 2.5L to a 4.0L. before everyone dogs me for doing this swap, let me say this my dad gave me this jeep when I joined the Military it's been in my family since I was 9yrs old. And since uncle same doesn't pay much I'm doing it on a budget. I currently have
:
1. 94 XJ 4.0 completely assembled, starter to accessory drive w/ the computer and harness(cut at the firewall I don't need refer to #2)
2. 1994 YJ engine harness
3. 1993 YJ 4.0 fuel pump
4. AX15 with transmission rebuild (rebuilding myself)
5. NP231 w 23 spline input shaft to match the ax15
6. Newer ev6 fuel injectors(have to buy adapters for ev1 harness to ev6 injector)
7. I know I have to buy different water pump to the smaller fan clutch(not doing electric, gonna try and use my 2.5 fan and clutch assembly) also gonna purchase clutch flywheel trans mount? *have to move motor mounts forward?*
What am I looking at having to purchase. Where does the speed sensor for the fuel injection go since mine is mechanical and the 94 is electrical?
I didn't want to go small block chevy because I want to stay true to the jeep drivetrain.
Thank you again
If you can help thank you all sooo much
