Question Need new seats *HELP*

Need to buy two new front seats for my 1990 YJ. Does anyone know what adjustable/sliding, reclining seat will work? I'm looking at this TrailMax II Bestop 39434-09 - Bestop TrailMax™ II Sport Front Seat in Vinyl for 76-06 Jeep® CJ-5, CJ-7, CJ-8 Scrambler, Wrangler YJ, TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec

If anyone knows if this will work or knows which one will work please post.

I'm currently in Afghanistan and don't want to order the wrong ones.

Thanks!

They say they are for a yj, so they should work. I don't have these so I'm not to sure, I have a aftermarket bucket seat and I had to modify my seat brackets. If you don't want to spend that much money, I know there are threads about swapping in Pontiac sunfire seats and apparently they're direct bolt on. Here is a thread from a different site with a few pictures.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. I'm not too worried about the money I just want to make sure what I order (buying new) is in fact going to work and will slide and recline.

I was reading more on the link you've posted and I don't think the quad seats have sliders on them. I don't know if they bolt to the stock sliders or if you need to order new.

This is what I just purchased. Says it bolts right onto the factory brackets. Nice looking seat! Waterproof Neoprene black.

Thanks for the input!

I bought those bestop seats... They bolt onto the factory sliders with 4 bolts. Then you bolt the slider to the metaql base. SUPER EASY!!! I would recoment buying new sliders. Mine were pretty rough.

I have the same seats in vinyl waiting to be installed.... I looked @ the Bestop seats too, but the Corbeau Moabs look better IMO.

I have the Bestop TrailMax™ II Pro and they bolted up just fine, but the recline is very limited or not at all because it hits the roll bar. The ones your looking at have the same round dial as mine for reclinining but the seat back looks like it narrows more then mine. This might clear the roll bar? The seats have worked fine for me and I had the thermal option (heated seat) on them also. The bad, seat did not recline back and the seat recline dial seams to turn by itself on rougn roads that all of the sudden you hear the seat rubbing against roll bar. Also, another problem I have is that I have an above console that runs paralel with windshield and the headrest set at lowest setting hits it when I flip passenger seat forward. I had another Jeep that had Bestop seats and they reclined and worked perfectly. They were older and had the same back as the one your looking at but it didnt have dial for recline, it had a lever that pulled up. Hope any of this helped you and good luck.

I bought the fabric Bestop TrailMax™ II and they bolted in just fine. Only problem I had was I had to remove the plastic seat adjusters and cut off a half inch off that metal piece the adjuster was attached to. That was the only way to make the seats fit with the ultimate console. Besides that it was a smooth job

can you guys post photos of the Trailmax II's in the jeep?

I'm debating on ordering the Moabs or Trailmaxs and think actual photos would help
