93 YJ 2.5L 4 cylinder. Thought I had a bad motor mount because fan is hitting shroud when I hit bumps but I just found that the radiator is moving because a rivet is broken on the mount on the bottom of the radiator. Does this rivet go into pressure? Can I drill out the broken rivet and replace or am I looking at a new radiator?
Thanks for your help. Pic is upside down, this is the bottom of the radiator.
That is not a rivet it is where the bracket is soldered to the radiator tank.
DO NOT drill there . Remove the radiator and take it to a radiator shop and have it repaired.
Probably not for long because of the heat from the radiator. That bracket really needs to be soldered on because unless it is properly fastened it will cause the core to leak .
