Will a alternator off of a Jeep Cherokee, sport or laredo 4.0 or v8 fit my 1994 2.5 Jeep Wrangler? I have so many extras on my Jeep that its draining my alternator. Its always charging at 9 or 10 volts which strangles my light bar, fog lights, and my big stereo. I've went thru three 2.5 alternators in the past year and some dude at a salvage yard told me to put a 4.0 or the V8 Jeep on it. Said it produced more amps. Is this true??? Thx
You have to swap the plastic insulator from yours to the new alt.
