New 4.56:1 gears, now speedometer is way off.

I just had 4.56:1 gears and a Detroit Truetrac locker installed. Now my speedometer reads 95-100 mph at interstate speeds. I'm running 33x12.50r/15 tires on a 93 YJ with 4.0 and AX15 5 speed.

Is there a remedy for this, or just learn to live with it? I have read a lot of posts about regearing, but I have not seen the speedometer issue mentioned in any of them.

Wow! You can tell everybody you have the only YJ that will cruise at 100 mph! I have the same problem but since I'm running 35" tires my speedo is only reading 10% too high. A new speedo gear is about $35 and very easy to change, in your case you are also adding miles to your odometer that you aren't driving so changing it would be a good idea.

Any idea what gear? What do I tell the guy at the auto parts store that I need? Can I just tell him I went from 3.07 to 4.56 and he can figure the gear?
