new shocks for RE extreme duty 4.5" lift

Hi all I am looking for a quick answer since I need some new shocks sooner rather then later. I have the Rubicon Monotube shocks with a 4.5" Rubicon Express Extreme Duty lift kit.

I was really wanting to see if there is a way to get the Rancho 9000xl shocks to work with my 95 YJ without any major tweaking, I talked to Rancho and the problem seems the shocks have the L2 mounts instead of the L1 in the sizes I would need.

I want a shock that is great for on road or off road. I have heard good things about the OME nitrochargers but liked the concept of the Rancho's being adjustable to whatever terrain I am in. I can not find any specs for the RE monotubes, question is what shock would suite my purpose and what are you guys running with a 4.5" lift kit that works great? The specific question how can I use the Rancho 9000xl or can I without getting tricky?

Thanks all for any help or insight.

Sorry no one answered yet, but I will give it a try:

I think what you need is this: JKS-9605, JKS Shock Adapters (84-06 Jeep TJ, XJ, ZJ) - 9605

That's not a preferred vendor just a link I whipped out of my google.

I can't give personal experience and am in the process of researching the Rancho's myself because I'm also liking the adjustability. If I come across too many bad reviews I'll report back and let you know. You do the same for me.

Thanks for posting Shinyside up I have been doing alot of looking and not a whole lot of definitive answers out there, I am leaning towards the MORE shock hoop, everything I have found has said the adapters work but you lose space, I am taking my jeep to my car guy tomorrow so we can measure out the RE mono tube shocks, I was reading about the ford shock adapters too seems any 80's model f250-350, etc you can get those for cheap but they require extra work. I am leaning towards the Rancho 9012's for the front and still looking for the rear shock. Speaking of which anyone want to chime in if you have long travel shocks in the front and regular shocks in the rear how has that been working out or is that just stupid? I have not come across anything to bad with the Ranchos seems those with problems just swap them out because they come with a lifetime replacement, I would like to have the money to run FOX shocks but I don't want to drop that kind of coin.
