NEW to jeeps, thinking want a little more lift though..

I bought a 95 yj a few months back for a toy mainly. Something to play around with. It is stock, but sitting on 31's. i was thinking going with something to just give it a little better look, now of course it looks like it is sitting on those tires. Maybe 2 or three inches. Have seen the Budget boost add a leaf, but not sure how good that would be. dont plan on wheeling or anything hard really. figured i would ask the pros here you guys seem to know your stuff. But of course dont wanna spend a ton of money, but i can do all the work myself.

You can do some lift shackles, but they will prematurely wear out you springs. Of rough country has a 2.5" lift for a good price. BDS has a 3.5" lift but it will cost you about a grand, but very nice setup. There's tons of other company's out there but that is a couple options.

Zone offroad has a nice 2" lift in the same price range as the RC 2.5 Lift.

Would be perfect if you plan to keep those 31's

I'd recommend around a 2" lift. If you want a little more than that too, get a 1" body and 1/2" or 5/8" shackles. That'd be more than enough for 31s and it'd look good.

are you planning on changing tire size also? Remember the bigger the tire the more it effects your performance. If you don't plan on much off road I would not change too much.
