New YJ owner and member seeking help

Hello all! New member here, first post as well. Always been highly interested in Wranglers and finally bought one. Ive been trying to learn as much as I can over the last several days, but am very much an amateur when it comes to Jeep knowledge, especially lifts. I realize it comes across as a pretty silly question, but I was wondering if i could get some opinions on the lift of my YJ. Its a 1995 YJ 4.0 straight 6, 5speed. tires are 33's. now SUPPOSEDLY (keyword supposedly) it has a 2 inch body lift and 4 inch leaf spring lift. i was wondering if from the photos i post some knowledgable owners would say this looks about accurate. i know it has a 2 inch body lift, but what do you all think on the suspension lift from the photos? none? 2? 4 as advertised? any input would be greatly appreciated! Not the greatest photos but all that i have at the moment, thanks!

If the tires are 31" then I guess your lift is 3.5-4" overall? But you said 33" so I'd up my guess to 4" fo sho at least. Optics! 5"? (I am an amateur with lifts, too.)

Lots of semantics here. If you just bought it, having this vehicle in tip-top onroad/offroad shape is the #1 priority but that's just me.

You are asking if the craigslist seller is being straight with you as far as numbers within 1-2 inches? $4800 for 85K miles and the modifications seems about right these days. Good-lookin jeep. Which is basically what I'm taking a long time to say: on any Forest Service road you will clear the big rocks!

hey thanks a lot brent! i know its a puzzling/goofy post to be asking. i really appreciate your time and input. i guess when it boiled down to it, it was a reassurance thing as i go into the jeeping lifestyle. a trained eye to see the ad and the photo and go "hey dont get fooled, that looks like just a body lift to me" or "yeah looks like a 3-4 range suspension lift". the jeep isnt physically with me right now, though i own it, so some of this is just me seeing what folks can gather (if anything) from the ad and a few pics...until i get back to it. nice to hear you say clearance doesnt appear to be an issue, thanks again!

What you are asking for takes a sharp, trained eye (not mine!). Hang loose---lots of good folks and good sharp eyes at this site.

gotcha, i still am grateful for your input though. and im not so unrealistic i think anyone can look at a photo, have xray vision, and rattle off problems or discrepancies haha. just hopin for some casual glances from the pros on here to shoot a ballpark guess of the suspension lift (if any) in their opinion. im just scratching the surface of the whole suspension vs body lift realm
