Newbie needing help - hard Rattle hitting bumps started yesterday

Hello, I would like to see if anyone can help me out here. Have a 1990 YJ with a 3 inch Body Lift. All has been good with it since I bought about 4 months ago. Yesterday I was driving and I noticed a rattle when I hit a bump, manhole, etc...The rattle shakes through the steering column and feels as if if is right below the gas pedal. The rattle is persistent when in neutral so I do not believe it has anything to do with Tranny/Clutch. It is certainly coming from the front end. I drove it a number of times over the last day, let her warm up good and it has not gone away. I checked what I could underneath and everything seemed tight, etc.. Any ideas on what this could be and what my next steps should be? Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Pop the hood and grab the steering shaft at the fire wall in the engine compartment. Shake, does it sound like your noise?

The culprit is in the upper right corner of this pic. Disconnect the top end of the steering shaft and let it drop down out of your way. Use a socket big enough to fit over the remainder coming out of the firewall. The metal bushing needs to be tapped lightly back up into place. Use a small worm style hose clamp to hold it up into place.

Just leaving it to rattle will not cause a problem either

I was wondering if this fixed the rattle for you? I have a 93 YJ and I have a rattle that sounds like what you explained.
