Newbie that needs help.

Hi guys Im brand new here and looking for a little advise. First off id like to say this site is amazing so far. So im looking at buying a 91' yj with a straight 6 five speed. It needs new leaf springs in the back just because they are worn out. Now I believe he said he has a dana 30 with lockers in the rear end and the rear track bar wont go onto it. Now from what ive read is that this is no big deal and many people do it do. He also said the front one is gone too. Also is there anything I should be cautious when buying? Its got 177xxx miles and he wants 2,000 for it. Any and all help would be greatly appreiciated. Thanks Dylan

the 91 should have D35 in the rear and D30 in the front unless it's been changed....maybe why the track bar won't go back on.....but that's a little less strength on the rear drive.....losing the track bars is cool though....won't hurt anything.....i'd ask him why it has 30 in the rear tho...

Those old 6 cyl can be touchy but also good sometimes. Just lookout fro excessive frame rust at the shackles and the floor pans. 2k icould be a decent deal if it is mechanically sound too.

Not a daily driver right now just needs a little bit of work and it can be a daily driver. Great Jeep to have fun with on the weekends, take to the michigan sand dunes. Really fun car! Has 33x12.50 BFGoodrich mud-terrain tires. At least half tread left. Has Spartan Locker in the Rear diff. Rebuilt front 4 wheel drive center disconnect. New fluid in the front and read diffs, oil change, cleaned heater core and put in new coolant, new rear driveshaft, new oil in the transfer case, just had the Rear diff professionally reset. Has sub box and speaker mounts. Sub box is made to take one 12in. sub with amp mount as well. speaker boxes can handle one 6x9 and one 6 in speaker on either side. Full roll cage. It has the Inline 6 Cylinder 4.0 liter engine! 5 speed manual transmission. Has 3.07 gear ratio in both diffs. Has about 177,000 miles.

His orginal craigslist decription
