newbie with some questions

I just acquired a 88 yj lifted 4 inches on 33-12.50x15s with a 350 sbc, turbo 350 transmission and np 231 T case. mainly gonna be used on the street and very mild off road. I would like to get away from the vacuum garbage on the front axle. What jeep axles would be a direct bolt in replacement front and rear?

Well Dana 30's aren't that bad of an axle it's just the vacuum actuator that you mentioned. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to swapping the axles a posi lok system might be what you are interested in. It replaces the vac switch with a cable you control from the drivers seat:

Posi-Lok PSL900 - 4x4 Posi-Lok for 84-95 Jeep® Wrangler YJ, Cherokee XJ & Comanche MJ - Quadratec

are you thinking about locking the front? Also if you can swap an axle, it should be the Dana 35 (rear) before the Dana 30, alot of guys do the 8.8 swap:
