No power...

Hey guys new problem.
93 manual tranny, 6cyl
I heard a pop noise then a grind while at 45 mph and 5th gear and then I had no power. Jeep was still running fine. I put it into gear and let out the clutch - heard a spinning grinding noise but it wouldn't go forward or backwards. My brother looked under it and said he saw the rear driveshaft spinning.. What do you all think? The clutch still feels normal and I can put it into any gear and the driveshaft still spins... Rear differential or axle shaft maybe?

sounds like rear dif.

If you put it 4x4 hi, will your front tires pull you? They should.
