No rear shocks

I was under my Jeep yesterday and noticed that I have no rear shocks..

Is there a reason why the PO would have removed them. It's got the 4.5" express lift.

But fi you got a lift and a few bucks the Bilstein 5100s for the YJ are great. For a 4.5" lift here are some part numbers to look at plug em in Google and choose the low price and free shipping.

If it was a trail only Jeep, he may have left off the shocks to improve suspension travel, very long travel shocks are expensive (and aren't all that long travel).

at very low speeds on the trail you might not notice them missing, on the road however, it could cause real instability.
