no spark after head gasket change on 91 wrangler.

I have a 91 wrangler with the 2.5L 4 banger that I just changed the head gasket on due to it drinking coolant consistantly. After i bolted everything back up and went to fire it, everything worked perfect except there is no spark. all the gauges work and the starter turns over, just no spark.

To give a little background, i recently got this jeep from my uncle who somehow hooked up jumper cables to it backwards when trying to charge the battery. So the result was a bunch of melted ignition wires and a half melted fuse box. So i rewired all the ignition wires and replaced all of the relays along with the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and the coil, and it has been running like a champ for 4 months with no problems other than this coolant drinking problem.

So now that i replaced the head gasket it is showing all of the same symptoms as before ie. everything works except no spark; if i let it sit for an hour and try to crank it it will spark for a full second then go back to the way it was. Im thinking that i need to just go and replace all of the relays again, but i dont understand why they would have gone out so soon. If these relays dont fix it, what else do you think the problem could be. Thanks.

the first thing i say in these instances is when something doesn't work, when it worked before any kind of work done, you gotta look at what you did. usually in engine jobs, theres a pinched wire, bad or forgotten ground, or connector forgotten. check all that, then you gotta check power and ground at the coil and work backwards.

It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president."
