no spark no fuel please help newbie

I have checked power from the key switch, 12.3 volts. I have had the jeep two days some times it would start after hearing a clicking sound from the power distribution center. now it will not start. I do not have spark, the fuel pump will not run and the check engine light will not flash when the key switch is in the run position. 1995 2.5 l manual trans.

Sounds like computer to me. Other thing might be the ignition module.

We need to know the year of the vehicle and which motor you have to give you an informed answer.

it's a 1995 2.5 l manual trans. I checked the pin 3 of the ecu for voltage 12.3. volts pin 9 key switched voltage 12.3 volts. pin 5 battery ground has a 1.5 mili volt drop to chasis ground. It appears to be getting proper positive and negative circuits.

All those items are controled by the computer if none of them work it would seem the computer is the place to start. BTW you do not have an ingition module. Grandpa Jeeper had the right idea. Check the plugs first to make sure they are all fully seated in the connector. HTH

I had the same prob. with my 93 2.5. Turn the ignition to the on position(but dont crank it). With the ignition on use your left hand to move the fuses under the dash from side to side and up and down. My fuse box under the dash had seen better days and some of the connectors where the fuses plug into were open WAY too wide and some were missing half the pins. So I wiggled the fuses around while the ignition was on and the fuel pump and dummy lights came back on. All I did was take the fuses and flux both side of the blades and solder all sides of the blades to make them thicker so I knew they would make good contact and havent had a single problem with anything since, AND my gauge lights and stereo work now too. Good luck! Oh, and I bought another pcm too while trying to figure it out. Kool thing is after I figured out it was the fuse box I turned around and sold it and doubled my money
