non c clip dana 35

I just got a non c clip Dana 35 out of an 89 Cherokee, the pinion yoke is the wrong size, can I swap the one out of my stock D 35? And yes I know an 8.8 is better but I got this free. So other then the spring perches and shock mounts what else will I need to do? Will the ebrake cables from the Cherokee work or will I need use my stock yj ones?

I think the only difference is when you break a shaft it won't walk out of the axle tube?

They should be pretty close. I know that the Cherokee E-Brake goes up the middle, and the Wrangler goes on the driver side, but I would try and see if they are long enough without swapping.

Honestly though, you should go to a 8.8...

If I could have found one at a decent price around here I would have. But I got the 2.5 so I'm not too worried about it

Can you pull the axles and reuse you old brake plates and leave your E-brakes hooked up?
