NP261 Transfer Case

I have purchased my new jeep drive train but it includes a NP261 transfer case. I now realize there is no aftermarket support of the 261 and no SYE. Has anyone ever used one in a conversion?

I think I'm going to swap it out with a NP241, it would be much cheaper than adapting the tranny to use my NP231

Any opinions or suggestions would be great,

Thanks

Not sure on how far back the pictured setup will placed everything, but just looking at the t-case the rear cone seem like it would make for a very very short rear drive shaft..241 might be a better option as stated...

I haven't accurately measured the entire package yet but the engine and tranny combo has been done several times so fitment wasn't my biggest concern. The transfer case has me a little worried but I still have time to figure everything out.
