Odd Noise in Reverse

I get in the Jeep this morning and now I'm getting this awesome noise. Any ideas on what it could be? It only happens in reverse. I've read that it may be the u-joints...

Here's a video of the noise...

I'm hearing something brake related I think. Have you pulled your drums and inspected there yet?

I'd try spraying everything down there. Could be a rock or mud stuck somewhere. Your ujoint there looks pretty rough too.

Ha - That was the best part. I have an HD Flip and I can pretty much reach to the rear wheel well... The hardest part was not backing into cars as I was rolling around the neighborhood in reverse.

I'll go pull them off and look at them today.

Swank - That's not a bad idea. I had the u-joints pretty close to the top of my "to-do" list.

Thanks everyone.

yea i'd check and see how tight the bolt is on the yoke as well...
it could be the self adjusters in the rear brakes messing up also, how often do you drive in reverse? thats the only time the self adjusters in the rear drum brakes....well...self adjust...lol

personally i'd start with opening the drums, look at the easiest thing first, then check that bolt on the yoke in the rear axle...then if you haven't found it, take the rear cover off and look inside
