Thanks for all the help previously. Very quick and painless question here:
Here is my oem foglight switch. I want to change the switch out, but I am unsure which terminals correspond to the ground, 12v in, and 12v to accessory. Could someone help me out?
In your pic, the black wire goes to the far right prong.
In a three prong switch like this, ground is on one end, positive on the other end. Middle is what goes out to the thing you're turning on (the accessory aka the fogs).
So I ran into a bit of a pickle. I cut all three wires from the connectors and attached individual terminals to them, and connected them to an aftermarket switch. When I turn the light on, my LED fog light bars (which it was wired to to begin with and worked perfectly) turns on, but is very, very dim. What could be the problem?
Thank you!
Edit: Reversed the red and black on the new switch and it now works like a charm!
