OIL in air box

well I have been reading, bc there is oil in the air box all over my filter. I think by the research, I Replace the PCV valve and clean the tube from the valve to the box. Does that sound right?

I'd clean out the air box do a fresh set of plugs and an oil change too while I was in there.

What year is your jeep and what engine. The 3.3 and 3.8 engines n the jk's with the pcv valve built into the oi filler hve issues leaking back into the air box when they've been filled with oil too quickly (oil change) The key is to fil them slowly so the oil evel never goes as high as the outlet hose on the pcv.

is it dark oil? from the engine? Then yeah, your breather (pcv) could be clogged.

Or, is it still light colored? If so, then someone soaked the filter with oil thinking it would help it to catch dirt like we do on lawn mowers and such.
