Oil up through Dipstick 93 YJ 2.5L

Hey All. I think I have oil coming up through the dipstick. Got fresh oil on the hoses immediately behind the dipstick. And, it's dripping down on and soaking the starter. Earlier posts from others have reported a similar problem. Likely cause -- too much crank case pressure. Folks indicated to have compression and PCV valve checked, but there was some confusion about whether the 2.5 from 93 had a PCV valve. Need to have a shop check the compression. Any one have or know of a good jeep mechanic in Phoenix AZ? Any other possible culprits mechanically? Valve cover gasket is new and good. Thanks.

I had the same issue with my 92, 2.5. I removed the valve cover and cleaned the inside of the cover, then opened up the orifice on the brass fitting in the front of the cover. If I remember it had a vacume line that ran to the intake.....It was plugged with sludge.(the brass fitting). I also replaced the line that ran from the top of the cover to the filter......(no PCV valve)

Problem solved.

Sage advice. I'll give it a whirl. Thanks.
