When i go to start it it will just crank but wont start and the only way i can get it to kind of start is if i pour gas down the carb? Im thinking this could be the fuel pump or fuel pump relay but Idont no were the fuel pump relay is? Thanks for any help I have been looking for it forever
disconnect wires from dist.
remove fuel line from carb
attach FP gauge(20 at HF) to end of fuel line.
get buddy w/fire ext.
crank engine 5-10 seconds.
compared registered reading to the shop manual you have on your bench-you have one-right?
if FP is fine, your POS carter stepper motor carb is destined for either a non-smog state or rockauto.com for $285 and a new carb.
worked for me. 90 wrangler 4.2 carb.
