Opinions On a 1" Difference:

Hey what’s up guys? I know for sure that I'm definitely buying a lift kit from BDS, I'm just not sure what size I want lol. The 2" is too small and the 5" + 6" is way too much, so it's between the last two available. What's your opinion on the 3.5" Vs. the 4.5" lift? I know it's only an inch difference, (and $400), but what do you think will be better?

Technically, I have room for 35" tires now, so I'm not worried about tire size, just about how well each system would flex, handle, ride, if any different from each other at all. Also, the 3.5" says "may require a longer driveshaft" and the 4.5" says "may require a SYE." The thing about that is that I don't want the T-case drop installed so will I -definitely- need a SYE for both or just the 4.5"? Also, I have a 1" MML so will that help me avoid getting a SYE for drive-vibes? Just wondering, thanks.

I am running the 4.5, cloaks and 35's. It did great on the highway(70mph) and fantastic on the trails and rocks. Flex was awesome and it did everything I wanted it to do. Here are some pictures so maybe you will get an idea.

Sorry to keep buggin you lol, but did you do the SYE bc you got vibrations? Or bc it was recommend for that size lift? I like your Jeep a lot mine will look/act similar since we'll both have Cloak fenders and BDS suspension lift.

I went ahead and installed the SYE during the build. I went with the teraflex 4-1 low case half and went ahead and did it all at once. My lift however is the rubicon express but I did look real hard at the BDS as well. I went with the RE only because my wife's TJ has that on hers and I liked the craftsmanship of her lift. By the way you are not bugging me in the least bit.

A friend of mine had the 3.5 with an inch shackle and he does pretty well with it. He also likes mud a little to much.
