Optional Tire Sizes

I'm looking at tire sizes for my un-lifted '94 YJ and was just wondering. I'm planning on running the stock steel wheels. Will I have clearance issues if I go to a 31 x 10.50 x 15" LT tire or will it be best to stick with 235/75R15's?

I'd really like to be able to run the bigger tires but don't want to mess with lifting my unit. Just wondered if anybody else had done that.

Depends on if you use it off-road. Mine came stock with 31x10.5 tires on 15x8 rims, but mine was the "rene" package. Those tires should fit, but may rub if you're flexing off-road. It also will affect gearing, but not much. Mine came with stock 3.73 gears with the 4.0 5speed, lower gears than the normal YJ.
