PA Inspections

My Jeep is due for inspection in April. I already need a new windshield thanks to a crack I got on a branch a few eeks back. One thing I am not sure of though is about the flares. The PO put 6" flares on it because he couldnt get through NJ inspection. I live in PA and HATE my flares. I would rather no flares and fling mud all over the place. Not sure what I can legally do though. I think they are required by law, but I see a lot of Jeeps without them on forums. Not really any around me rolling like that though. Anyone know what I can get away with? Also, if you know a shop that will let me pass in Philly with a crack PM me. I really dont have the cash to fix it right now.

Tires aren't supposed to be exposed passed your flares in PA. You may get away with an inch or less, but not more than that...I never have been able to get anyone to pass my rigs with tires not covered by a flare.

So maybe I should just put them on at inspection time, or will I get pulled over for them sticking out 6 inches?

On my old Dakota I got pulled over 3 times before I bought flares it depends as to how big of a prick the cops want to be. As far as inspection your tread cannot stick out passed your flares technically

Fix it ticket?

That's what oregon does. Then you just buy flares after you get pulled over

When I looked into it for my jeep I found that the tires have to be completely covered by the flares, Im most likely going to have find some one who can just get me stickers or something

You will get pulled over in pa its happened to me when I had my broncos. As of now I probably have 2 inches out past the flairs and have no issues with cops or inspection
