Parking Brake

How do i go about hooking up the parking brake in a 92 yj. The PO did not have it hooked up and did not know how to do it. I see where the cable comes inside the tub and where it goes on the parking brake but is there anything special i need to do or just pull on the end and slip it into place.

It clips into a slot at the park brake. I would pull the rear drums and inspect all the springs , hardware and rear shoes first. It was probably disconnected for a reason.
