Please help

Me and my dad were driving around the lake today, and seen a fellow jeeper stuck in the mud so I pulled down there and hooked up to him and locked it in to 4 low and crawled forward. On e I got the slack out I slowly hit the gas a "TING" then I lost 4wd the front drive line spins but will not put the power to the wheels. I have a posi loc installed and I'm pretty sure it's a bone stock dana thirty in the front. No locker 4:11 gears. I'm unsure of what it could be this is one of the few things I have not torn into on my jeep besides installing the posi-loc. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The shifter fork inside the axle could have snapped. Pull the cover off and check inside.
